Our Physicians
Clinical Director: Leo A. Perez, M.D.
 Dr. Perez has been in practice since 1985 here in the state of Florida. He has lived in the Tampa
area for over 40 years since immigrating from Cuba as a child in 1962.
His Pre-Medical education is from the University of South Florida where he received a bachelor’s
degree in chemistry in 1977. In 1982, he obtained his Medical Degree at Cetec University
in the Dominican Republic. Also, Dr. Perez attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville,
Tennessee for his medical residency and is Board Certified in Family Practice. Dr. Perez is up
to date on continual education courses as well as courses in Permanent Disability Impairment.
Since 1995, he has been a member of the American Association of Physician Specialists.
Dr. Perez has served as the Senior Physician for the Hillsborough County Health Department
and has worked closely with the community as the Clinic Physician at numerous Doctors R us
walk-in clinics throughout the Tampa Bay area.
His focus at Pain Management Solutions is pain management and pain intervention. Dr. Perez can perform specific therapeutic injections, prescribe physical/occupational therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic care and if involved in a pain reducing program he may prescribe medication. All of these services are provided at our facility.
Dr. Perez is fluent in Spanish and English. He has been married since 1972 and has two grown children. He enjoys Tampa Bay sports, music and sight seeing whenever possible.

 Dr. Wetherington has been in practice since 1988 here at Pain Management Solutions. He
is a Florida native and elected to do his undergraduate studies at Hillsborough Community
College and the University of South Florida in Tampa. He then attended Life Chiropractic College in Marietta, Georgia, graduating as class Salutatorian in 1986. He is a board certified
chiropractic physician in the states of Florida, Georgia and Virginia.
Dr. Wetherington is versed in several full spine chiropractic manipulative techniques such as Thompson drop table, Gonstead, activator and diversified. He has clinical interest and special
training in whiplash injuries, disc problems, headaches and neck pain. He also treats
several different types of sports injuries with the use of extreme manipulation, physical
medicine and rehabilitation.
Dr. Wetherington has been involved with a variety of sports and has exercised all his life. He continues to participate in cycling events, water and snow skiing as well as a competitive round of golf. He also enjoys coaching youth athletics such as basketball, soccer, baseball and softball.
Executive Director: John Morgan, D.C.
 Dr. Morgan was an All-State football player out of Wisconsin back in 1971 and he still holds
his High School shot put record. Dr. Morgan was captain of the University of Kansas football
team and after a brief career with the New York Jets returned to the University of
Kansas where he received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Dr. Morgan graduated with
Cum Laude honors from National College of Chiropractic in 1985.
He has been in practice at Pain Management Solutions since 1986.
Dr. Morgan has continued to maintain his physical condition through vigorous exercise and
diet. After receiving his personal trainer’s certification, he has implemented his knowledge
and training within his practice in order to help others.
Dr. Morgan has been a nationally ranked sprint triathlete whose mission is to help patients help
themselves to be healthier, more physically fit and less dependent on medication. He uses
physical medicine, nutrition and exercise programs to accomplish these goals.
He will do whatever it takes to help individuals help themselves achieve these goals.
